local designer portrait: jessica helgerson

Looking around for some kitchen and bath inspiration today for a project and fell back upon Jessica Helgerson Interior Design based out of Portland. I've been a fan of Jessica's for awhile as are many others. It was hard to decide which photos from her projects to include here becuase she is just that fantastic. Here is an extensive remodel of a turn-of-the-century, Southeast Portland foursquare.

 

Love that affect she gets on the walls with those morrocan style lamps! And that attic space is too perfect. Here is another project, a turn-of-the-century modern house in northwest portland.

Something so adorable about the powder room and a great white wash in that attic space. A great space to record music for sure. Here is her bush prairie house project. I love the firewood cubby in the wall and that light.

These looks are so well-tamed and yet exciting. Not overly designed at all. Definitely something to aspire towards.
